High School / College Ministry
The Core
Jesus Christ is eternal, created all things for His glory, holds all things together and will always be at the Core or center of our youth ministry.
The Core (High School / College ministry) is a group of enthusiastic young men and women that love to hang out, love to have fun and enjoy learning about the things of the Lord.
We meet every Sunday Morning at 10:45 am, after the 9:00 am worship service, in Room 23. During this time together we play, talk and study fundamental concepts and precepts in the Bible. We strive to learn how to defend our belief, live out our faith and run the good race as followers of Jesus Christ.
What’s in it for YOU?
If you are thinking about joining us, here are a few things you can count on.
1. Fun with like-minded people your own age. If you are in High School, College or are college age but taking a break, you have found the right place! In our room we enjoy Foosball, Air Hockey, Pool and we even have a mini-ping pong table. We lounge on couches and enjoy listening to the latest Christian Rock bands while taking with our friends.
2. Fun Activities and Events. That’s right, put down the remote or PS2 controller and join us every other Friday or Saturday for a group activities. We enjoy bowling, going to first run movies and having a pizza and game nights at the Church. Sometimes we just kick-it in our meeting room and watch a favorite DVD projected in HD on a 10 foot screen. (..of course we have surround sound!!)
3. Camping with people who really care about you. This summer we will be tent camping in the local mountains and enjoying activities like Water Skiing, hiking and rock climbing. At nights we will enjoy a special guest speaker, meaningful worship and a change to build life long friends.
4. Challenging and thought provoking Bible studies. Each Sunday we spend a good amount of time studying the Word of God. We don’t take this time lightly. We want to know what we believe, know why we believe it and know how to live it day by day. Our group just started a six-week series on “Who is Jesus”. You will not want to miss these studies. We will be studying the many attributes and names of God. This series will be life changing!
5. Ministry opportunities. Over the next 6 months we will be evaluating several local ministry opportunities. Our goal is to find a ministry that we are passionate about and then doing all we can to help. We believe that service is a vital part of our walk with Jesus Christ.
If you are not plugged into a growing, vibrant, Christ centered youth group, we want to invite you to join us!
